The band consists of Aidar Toktaliev (1st violin), Alexey Lebedev (2nd violin), Bekzat Sailaubaevich (viola), Ernar Myntaev (cello).
The first composition of the string quartet was created in 1988 at the Akhmet Zhubanov Republican Music School. Today’s quartet consists of the fourth generation of musicians. The founder of the creative team is its artistic director, laureate of republican and international competitions, a wonderful cellist Ernar Myntaev.
The State Quartet is considered one of the best chamber ensembles in Kazakhstan, it is distinguished by high performing skills, virtuoso playing technique, beauty of sound, subtle sense of style and ensemble culture. The quartet’s repertoire includes a large number of world classical music and works by Kazakhstani composers.
The team is the winner of many prestigious international competitions and festivals. The quartet performs in the cities of the republic, in the countries of the far and near abroad, in the best concert halls of France, England, Austria, Spain, Italy, Egypt, Turkey and other countries. The mentor and patron of the quartet for a long time was the head of the State Quartet named after him.Borodina, People’s Artist of Russia, Professor V.A.Berlinsky, who gave a huge creative impulse to the ensemble, thanks to which musicians achieve success and strive for perfection.
