The Republican Conductors’ Competition named after Nurgisa Tlendiyev will be held in Almaty from September 20 to 22, 2023, at the Kazakh State Philharmonic named after Zhambyl. Conductors, students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of culture and arts aged 18 to 35 are eligible to participate in the competition.
The aim of the competition is to preserve and further develop the traditions of the Kazakhstani conducting school, to discover new talents, to create conditions for the professional growth of talented youth in the field of conducting, to identify and stimulate gifted and talented musicians, and to enhance the cultural image of Kazakhstan.
