With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in January 2024, the State Quintet of Classical Guitarists was created for the first time at the Philharmonic.
On March 20, 2024, the first concert entitled “BasTau”, dedicated to the opening of the State Quintet of Classical Guitarists, took place in the Great Hall of the Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic named after Zhambyl.
The main musical direction of the quintet is music in the rumba-flamenco genre. Also in the quintet’s repertoire are works by Kazakh composers, including kui Kurmangazy, N. Tlendiev, A. Zheldibayev and other works arranged for guitar by the leader of the quintet B. Zhylkybayev.
