ALMATY, May 1, 2026 – The Grand Hall of the Zhambyl Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic recently hosted one of the nation’s most significant events in choral art: the V Anniversary Festival “Gul Almaty – 2026.” This unique cultural project, organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, marked its fifth successful year.
A Celebration of Scale and Heritage
The defining feature of this year’s festival was its unprecedented scale. The stage brought together 9 choral groups, ranging from children’s ensembles to professional choirs—totaling nearly 500 performers. As a city-wide celebration, the festival demonstrated the continuity of the national choral school, serving as a “golden bridge” between young talents and established masters.
