FESTIVAL “XX25” OPENING CEREMONY HELD

As part of the 90th anniversary celebration of the Zhambyl Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic, the opening concert of the “XX25” festival by the Tolepbergen Abdrashev State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place.

This second edition of the festival aims to popularize classical art, serving as a platform to showcase symphonic works of 20th-century and contemporary composers. The main goal is to demonstrate how past century ideas resonate today.

This year, special attention is given to young Kazakhstani musicians educated and working abroad who have returned home to share their art with local audiences.

The concert featured international competition laureate violinist Meruert Karmenova, specially invited from Belgium. She was accompanied by the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the baton of Kanat Omarov. The audience enjoyed exemplary pieces of world symphonic music.

Today’s event embodied a spiritual bridge between eras and generations, built through art.
