Day Four of the “Philharmonic Through the Eyes of Young Artists” Plein Air: A Fusion of History and Creativity

On the fourth day of the national plein air event, “Philharmonic Through the Eyes of Young Artists,” participants embarked on a journey to the Literary and Memorial Museum of Zhambyl Zhabayev, located in the Zhambyl district of the Almaty region. This sacred site, dedicated to the esteemed Kazakh poet and akyn, provided a profound source of inspiration for the young artists.

In the morning, the artists engaged in capturing the museum’s exterior, striving to reflect its architectural nuances and the national spirit it embodies. They also portrayed the monument of Nurgisa Tlendiyev, the People’s Artist of Kazakhstan and the USSR, honoring his 100th anniversary this year. Through their artworks, they aimed to convey the essence of Tlendiyev’s contributions to Kazakh music and culture.

Beyond painting, the day offered enriching experiences as museum staff conducted an insightful tour, sharing the life and works of Zhambyl Zhabayev. This deepened the artists’ understanding of Kazakh literary heritage and the cultural significance of the site.

This day not only enhanced the artists’ creative skills but also broadened their historical and cultural perspectives, reinforcing the importance of national values in artistic expression.

We cordially invite everyone to the closing ceremony of the “Philharmonic Through the Eyes of Young Artists” plein air, which will take place tomorrow, May 30, at 10:00 AM. The event will feature an exhibition of the participants’ artworks and an awards ceremony, celebrating the fusion of youthful creativity and cultural heritage.
