Dear friends,
today, March 17, is the Day of Culture and National Traditions.
On the holiday of Nauryz, one of the main values of our people is the national tradition. During these days, customs preserved in the memory of the people are promoted, such as “Süyinshi surau”, “Naming a child”, “Beshikke salu”, “Tusaukeser”, “Betashar”. One of the educational traditions of the Kazakh people is the ritual of cutting the baby’s swaddling cloth. This ritual is performed with the wish that the child will learn to walk quickly and without falling, and that their future will be bright.
With this purpose, today, the “Tusaukeser” ceremony was held at the Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic named after Zhambyl.
The director of the philharmonic, Akan Abdualiyev, congratulated everyone on the upcoming Nauryz holiday and said: “In the philharmonic staff, most of the people are young, and they have children – our grandchildren. Today, we intend to hold this ceremony for the little ones.” To continue the tradition, the swaddling cloth was cut by the public figure, writer, member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan Nagashibek Kapalbekuly, the honored worker of Kazakhstan Eskayir Abakhanov, and the director of the philharmonic Akan Abdualiyev, who wished good luck and blessings to the children.
May our good traditions, passed down from generation to generation, continue, and may the new steps of our children lead them to become worthy citizens of our great country.
