Yermek Kurmanayev is a laureate of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2022, Yermek Kurmanayev became the laureate of the first national award UMAI in the field of art. He performs solo concerts with the T. Abdrashev State Academic Symphony Orchestra, participates in numerous chamber music concerts as part of the Philharmonic trio, as well as in a duet with pianist A. Tleubergenov, with whom he won the first prize at the T. Gaidamovich International Chamber and Ensemble Performance Competition in Magnitogorsk (Russia, 2009). He tours a lot in the republic. Yermek Kurmanayev for the first time in the republic performed such cello works as S. Prokofiev’s symphonic concerto, G. Zhubanova’s cello concerto, R. Schumann’s cello concerto, P. Tchaikovsky’s Pezzo Capriccioso and D. Shostakovich’s first cello concerto. In the chamber hall of the Philharmonic , he performed the cello sonata by F. Chopin as part of a series of concerts dedicated to the 200th anniversary of F. Chopin.
