Republican Competition of Traditional Performers Named After Amre Kashaubayev

The competition is organized by the Organizing Committee of the Zhambyl Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic with the support of the Culture Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
 
Objectives of the Competition:
 
To preserve, develop, and promote the traditional vocal art of the Kazakh people, and to strengthen its role in the aesthetic education of the younger generation;
 
To enhance professional mastery through vocal art, fostering Kazakhstani patriotism and love for national culture;
 
To promote the themes of morality and patriotism in the works of Birzhan Sal, Akan Seri, Baluan Sholak, Maira Ualikyz, Mukhit Meraliuly, Yestay Berkimbaiuly, Kenen Azerbayev, and other folk singers and akyns.
 
Participation Requirements:
Traditional singers aged 20 to 35 inclusive who are winners of regional, republic-status city, or capital-level competitions are eligible to participate (Grand Prix winners of previous Amre Kashaubayev competitions are not allowed to participate again).
 
The Competition consists of 2 main parts:
 
Traditional song performance (Rounds I–II, October 25–27, 2026, Main Hall)
 
Gala Concert (October 27, 2026)
 
Stages of the Competition:
 
Stage I (August 25 – September 15, 2026): Submission of electronic applications including: PDF copy of ID document; proof of enrollment (for students) or employment verification (for employees); certificate and/or diploma confirming victory in regional, republic-status city, or capital-level competitions; two color photos (13×18 cm, JPEG format); video recording of performance (2 works selected from Amre Kashaubayev’s song repertoire, recorded with a fixed camera at a minimum resolution of 1280×720 (HD), without editing or audio processing). Stage II (September 15 – September 25, 2026): Review of applications and preliminary video selection. The list of participants advancing to the main stage will be published on the organizing committee’s website and social media (Instagram, Facebook) no later than September 25, 2026. Applications that do not meet requirements will not be considered.
 
Stage III (October 26, 2026): Round 1.
 
Stage IV (October 27, 2026): Round 2.
 
Stage V (October 27, 2026): Summary of results, award ceremony, and Gala Concert.
