ALMATY, May 1, 2026 – The Great Hall of the Zhambyl Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic hosted the V “Gul Almaty – 2026” Festival, one of the most significant events in the country’s choral arts. This unique cultural project, organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, celebrated its fifth anniversary this year.
The defining feature of this year’s festival was its sheer scale. The stage brought together 9 choral groups, ranging from children’s ensembles to professional choirs—totaling nearly 500 performers. This city-wide festival demonstrated the continuity of the national choral school, serving as a “golden bridge” between young talents and established masters.
