At the House of Friendship in Almaty, a solemn ceremony was held to honor prominent figures in the culture and arts of Kazakhstan. As part of the event, well-known Kazakh cultural figures were presented with the Chinghiz Aitmatov International Award, as well as Certificates of Honor from the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Representatives of government agencies of both countries, heads of creative organizations, and cultural figures took part in the award ceremony. During the event, the Chinghiz Aitmatov International Award was presented to individuals who made a significant contribution to the development of theater and cinema. The prestigious award was granted to Kazakhstan’s People’s Artists Doskhan Zholzhaksynov, Tungyshbai Zhamankulov, and Nurzhuman Ikhtymbayev. Writer Nurlan Kami and Adviser to the Secretary General of TURKSOY Kairat Mukanov were also honored for their contributions to culture and literature. Additionally, Akan Abdualiev, Director of the Zhambyl Philharmonic, became a recipient of the Chinghiz Aitmatov International Award.
Moreover, Certificates of Honor from the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic were awarded to individuals who made significant contributions to the cultural life of Almaty. The award recipients included Meridash Ospanbayeva, director at the M. Auezov Kazakh National Drama Theatre; actor of the same theatre Alihan Lepesbayev; actress of the G. Musrepov State Youth and Children’s Theatre Gulzhamal Kazakbayeva; rector of the T. Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts Arman Zhudebayev; and head of the Almaty Department of Culture Daniyar Aliyev. Philharmonic soloist Arafat Ysqaqov was also recognized with this award.
After the ceremony, the honorees attended the premiere of the musical “Jamila”, presented by the Toktogul Satylganov National Philharmonic of Kyrgyzstan.
