Zhambyl Zhabayev is a historical figure who holds a special place in the nation’s spiritual life and is an outstanding representative of our authentic culture. Through his masterful works, the renowned bard promoted unwavering values such as patriotism, unity, bravery, statehood, honesty, and justice.
As a prominent son of our nation, he made an invaluable contribution to expanding the horizons of the art of aitys, reviving epic traditions, and strengthening the literary ties between the Kazakh and Kyrgyz peoples.
By depicting the life and breath of his era with exceptional skill, he earned the profound affection of the people. The works of the great poet, known as the “Homer of the 20th Century,” have been translated into many foreign languages and have become a shared treasure for all of humanity.
The rich legacy of this “Giant of Verse,” who witnessed two centuries, will undoubtedly serve as spiritual nourishment for many generations to come. I trust that during this anniversary year, valuable insights and profound reflections will be shared to further illuminate the historical image of Zhambyl Zhabayev.
