Today, on the eve of the country’s main holiday — Independence Day — a concert titled “An Evening of Traditional Songs with Folk Instruments” took place in the grand hall of the Zhambyl Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic.
The event was opened by the folklore and ethnographic ensemble Sazgen Sazy. The artistic director of the ensemble is Bagdat Tilegenov, an Honored Worker of Kazakhstan and recipient of the “Kurmet” Order.
The concert featured leading masters of traditional Kazakh art.
People’s Artists of Kazakhstan Ramazan Stamgazy and Aigul Kosanova performed on stage. They were joined by Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Ardak Isataeva, “Kurmet” Order holder Adilet Musa, and “For Distinguished Labor” medal recipient Beibit Musayev, who showcased the power and beauty of traditional singing.
The concert also brought together prominent cultural figures and laureates of international competitions: Sholpan Darzhan, Armat Islamgaliev, Sayat Nurgazin, Elza Karabalina, Amankeldi Kuzeubai, Talgat Abugazy, Zhenis Erzhanov, Elmira Kashkymbaeva, Dias Muratkhan, as well as Philharmonic soloists Arafat Yskakov and Birzhan Bazilzhan.
The program included beloved pieces such as Ybyrai’s “Boz Zhorga” and “Gakku,” the folk songs “Zhyirma Zheti Kyz” and “Akhau Kerim,” Abdyldai Naimanbayev’s “Inzhu Marzhan,” “Shegenin Termesi” (from the opera “Kyz Zhibek”), Nurgisa Tlendiev’s “Alatau,” Akan Sery’s “Balkadisha,” as well as S.
