“A Grand Symphonic Evening” — an immersion in the world of symphonic music

Today, the Grand Hall of the Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic named after Zhambyl hosted the “Grand Symphonic Evening,” which became a true celebration of classical art. The special atmosphere of the concert was shaped by guest conductor Christophe Mangou, specially invited from France. The evening opened with a suite from the ballet “Steppe Legend” by Tiles Khazhigaliyev.

A highlight of the concert was the performance by People’s Artist of Kazakhstan and world-renowned pianist Zhaniya Aubakirova. Her interpretation of Edvard Grieg’s famous Piano Concerto in A minor deeply moved the audience. The refined ensemble playing of the State Academic Symphony Orchestra, combined with the hall’s excellent acoustics, fully revealed the natural beauty of the composition.

Another pinnacle of the program was Camille Saint-Saëns’s Symphony No. 3, the “Organ Symphony.” Its majestic sound and dramatic power were conveyed with exceptional expressiveness, thanks to the organ part brilliantly performed by Irina Gavrilenko.

The symphonic evening left a profound impression on the audience and allowed them to truly feel the grandeur and power of classical music.
