A festive concert celebrating the national spirit was held

Today, the Great Hall of the Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic named after Zhambyl hosted the concert “Elim Menin” (“My Homeland”) dedicated to Republic Day. The ceremonial event left a strong impression on the audience, showcasing the finest examples of national and classical art.

The celebration opened with an awards ceremony. Marat Tokashbayev, Chair of the Republican Council on Public Titles and Awards, congratulated the audience and honored cultural workers. By the Council’s decision, for outstanding service to national culture, Philharmonic staff member Gulmira Nurdenova received the honorary title “Qazaq mädenietiniñ qairatkieri” (“Honored Figure of Kazakh Culture”).

In addition, for their significant contributions to the country’s economic development, Erbol Iskakov, Nurbek Turlybayev, and Kanat Dosymov were named “Enbek üzdigi” (“Excellence in Labor”). In recognition of his exceptional efforts in advancing national art, Philharmonic soloist Birzhan Bazilzhanov was awarded the honorary title “Qazaq öneriniñ qairatkieri” (“Honored Figure of Kazakh Art”).

As a natural continuation of the ceremony, within the joint project of the Republican Council on Public Titles and the “Uaqyt Tandauy” Agency, the Philharmonic was named “Philharmonic of the Year,” with the award ceremonially presented to the Philharmonic’s director, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Akan Abdualiev. In addition, by the Council’s decision, Akan Zhilkyshybayuly received the honorary title “Ult qairatkieri” (“National Figure”).

Two major ensembles of Kazakh music performed at the concert—the B. Baikadamov State Choral Capella and the Wind Orchestra of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The program, which united music and refined performance culture, deeply moved listeners.

The State Choral Capella was led by its artistic director and chief conductor, Beimbet Demeuov—Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan and recipient of the Kurmet and Parasat orders. The Wind Orchestra performed under the batons of Kanat Akhmetov, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, and Alexander Belyakov, People’s Artist of Kazakhstan.

The evening’s program featured selected works from the “golden treasury” of Kazakh music. The audience warmly received the “Festive Dance” from M. Tolebayev’s opera “Birzhan and Sara,” Abai’s songs “Aidtym sälem, Qalamqas” and “Zhelsiz tünde zharıq ai,” as well as Zhayau Musa’s “Aq sisa,” Segiz Seri’s “Gauhar tas,” and Latif Khamidi’s “Bulbul” (“Nightingale”).

Baiterekov’s “Äliya,” and Nurgisa Tlendiyev’s “Kue bol” (“Bear Witness”). Concluding the program, the songs “Aq tilek” by S. Baiterekov, “Änim sen eding” by Sh. Kaldayakov, “Atameken” by Zh. Tuyakbayev, and “Qazaq eli” by E. Yntykbayev energized the audience and crowned the evening with a festive mood.
