Paris Celebrated Nurgisa Tlendiev’s Centennial

📍 On September 24, 2025, a commemorative concert titled “Melodies of a Century: Tribute to Tlendiev” was held at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the distinguished Kazakh kyu composer and conductor Nurgisa Tlendiev.

The centennial of such a monumental figure is not only significant for Kazakhstan but for the entire world. This date has been included in the list of international anniversaries observed by UNESCO.

📌 The event was attended by the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balaeva, members of the diplomatic corps, and representatives of the creative intelligentsia.

The primary goal of the event was to showcase the wealth of national cultural heritage, centuries-old traditions, and the culture of our people to an international audience.

In the program, the Otyrar Sazy orchestra performed beloved compositions by Tlendiev. The artistic director and conductor: his daughter, Dinzukhra Tlendieva.
On the UNESCO stage also appeared renowned Kazakh artists: Svetlana Aitbayeva, Alisher Karimov, Farkhat Kubiev, Gauhar Zhumagulova, Askar Mukiyat, Abay Koishybaev, Rasul Zharmanbetov, Nurgalym Amanbay, Ayagoz Khairullina, Zhuldyz Baizhuma.

Nurgisa Tlendiev’s oeuvre has become an integral part of Kazakhstan’s cultural heritage. He authored over 500 musical works, wrote music for more than 50 dramatic productions, and composed scores for 20 feature films.
