On August 24, 2025, as part of the XXXIII Republican “Ulytau Uni” Festival organized by the Department of Culture, Language Development, and Archives of the Ulytau Region, a kuyshi competition was held in honor of the 840th anniversary of the composer and zhyrau Ketbuka.

Syrim Shonbay, an artist of the N. Tlendiev Academic Folklore and Ethnographic Orchestra “Otyrar Sazy,” delivered an exceptional performance and was awarded the honorable 2nd place.

We sincerely congratulate our colleague on this well-deserved victory and wish him continued creative success, new discoveries, and great achievements on his artistic journey!
