A symphonic concert held at the Jambyl Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic marked the conclusion of the contemporary music festival “XX26.” The evening also celebrated the closing of the concert season of the T. Abdrashev State Academic Symphony Orchestra.
Under the baton of conductor Kanat Omarov, the orchestra performed complex and expressive works of the twentieth century alongside contemporary compositions. Violinist Erkebulan Saparbayev and the orchestra masterfully conveyed the innovative musical language and distinctive artistic features of the works by Claude Debussy and Béla Bartók.
The concert program also featured the premiere of “TAU” by composer R. Ibragimov, which was warmly received by the audience and attracted considerable interest.
The evening became a fitting conclusion to the orchestra’s concert season, bringing together masterpieces of the past century and contemporary musical creativity.
